A horrific collision between a passenger bus and a truck took place close to taythri bypass. The death toll has been confirmed at 57 passengers. Several other people were injured, including women and children. The injured passengers were taken to Sukkur Civil Hospital and Khairpur Civil Hospital; as only these two hospitals were taking in patients. However, this wasn’t sufficient. Due to a shortage of medical facilities at Khairpur, the injured passengers have been facing great hassles in getting proper treatment. Their lives hang in balance due to unavailability of basic medical facilities in the area. It’s high time for our government to take action against insufficient medical funding.
