Congo Virus Spreads: The virus has killed 5 patients in the past week, with several others still undergoing treatment. The Fatima Jinnah General and Chest Hospital in Quetta has created an isolation ward for all Congo virus patients. Experts have suggested that the spread of the virus could be curbed by ensuring that all at-risk individuals bathe with medicated water, and thorough fumigation is carried out at at-risk areas, among other precautionary measures. According to Baluchistan’s Department of Health, 79 Congo virus cases have been diagnosed in the past 2 years, out of which 20 patients succumbed to the disease and passed away.
